Want to buy a half or whole Cow or Pig?

We work with local farmers to supply you with bulk meat direct from a locally raised source.  When you buy bulk from uswe do all the heavy lifting! We will find you a cow or pig from one of our local farms, we will pick up the animal from the farm and process it for you, then all you have to do is come pick up your finished beef or pork. We can even deliver it to you (for an additional fee). It’s that simple! 


In most cases, we can provide you with quality, locally raised beef or pork cut to your specifications, for less that what you can find it for in the grocery store.

Bulk Beef

We work with several different farms in our area to provide you fresh local beef. Local cattle prices fluctuate depending on market conditions but currently the price for a cow is $2.00 per pound (live weight). 


Since you are buying the animal live, we base the prices on the live weight. With a 1,000  lb cow, you would pay $2,000 for the whole animal, Once the beef is processed (depending on the cuts you choose (bone-in or bone out) you will end up with 400-500 lbs of finished meat. So that comes out to be $4-5 lb for your finished product.


That means you get premium cuts like Ribeye, Tenderloin, New York Strip and more for the price of hamburger. You’ll also get Brisket, Short Ribs, Flank Steak, Skirt Steak, Roasts, Ground Beef, and more! With all that meat, a family of 4 could eat beef for dinner everyday for over a year!

Bulk Pork

We work with Terra Firma Farms who supplies our bulk pork. They raise Berkshire pigs (also known as Kurobuta pork) which are a hematite breed know for their marveling, tenderness, and overall flavor. They are often referred to as the Kobe Beef of Pork.


The price for a whole pig is $3.00/lb (live weight). So with a 250 lb pig you would be paying $750 and you would get roughly 150 lbs of finished meat. That comes out to be about $5.00 lb.


That means that you‘ll be getting high quality, free range, locally sourced, hematite breed pork for around what you can get regular pork for in the grocery store. You’ll get ribs, pork chops, ham, bacon, shoulder roasts, sausage and more. A whole pig could easily last a family of 4 for a year!

How it works

If you are interested in buying a whole animal then you would just contact us and let us know what you are looking for.  We do require a $1,000 deposit for a whole cow or a $350 deposit for a whole pig ($500 for half a cow and $175 for half a pig). If you are interested in half an animal then we will need to have an interested buyer for the other half before we collect the deposit. Once we have your deposit we will secure your animal while also working with you to figure out how you would like it cut. We do this by determining what your shopping/eating habits currently are to help you determine the best use for your animal. We will then butcher the animal to your specifications. The butchering process generally takes about a week or two. We will then contact you when your meat is ready to be picked up The remainder of your balance will be due at this time. We can also deliver your beef or pork to you for an additional fee (fee amount is dependent on how far we have to go to deliver).. We will deliver as far as Washington D.C.; Roanoke; or Richmond..
